2011 season

So as some of you may know in 2011 I will be fighting for my FormulaD pro license. It is going to be one hell of a fight as I will be competing against some of the best grassroots drivers in the country.

My season starts April 3rd in Jefferson, IN for Midwest Drift Unions FormulaD ProAm event. As of now that is the only event that has been currently posted. I will update at a later date with a current date as more series come out with there full schedules. I.E. Xtreme Drift Circuit, Midwest Cup, Midwest Drift Union, and maybe Drift Mania Canadian Championship.

STAY TUNED

2010 season in review

Well this years season was awesome. I learned a lot and met some amazing people. It all started in March when I received the new car. An R33 skyline was delivered to me by Chris from Sakurajima Express. Thanks Chris for everything you've done.

I started the season off at the MA Performance proving grounds at Branierd International Raceway for the drift event put on by NOS energy drink. It went pretty well, it was a 2 day event. First day all practice, then the second was the competition. I was really trying to scrap this wall all weekend and just couldn't get it. this was the closest I got all weekend.
As for the rest of the event, I just had a great time and couldn't be happier. I met a lot of great people, and there was some super gnarly drivers... Audi your entries are sick. Big thanks to everyone that helped me out through the event.

My second event was a drift demo at KTM cycle hut in mandan, ND. Started out rough for unforeseen issues with the car, and my stupidity. When I got to actually slide I realized there was still a lot of learning for me to do. As the day went on I got more consistent and felt pretty good. TJ Fry from slide assassins was also there, he asked me to tandem for the crowd... All I can say is hell ya, most fun I've had drifting.

My third and final event of the season was held at raceway park in Shakopee, MN. I got some good seat time and got to watch some good drivers rip it. Most of the day was practice 40 drivers total, but when the lights went out it was time to do some solo battles. 25 drivers went out for qualifying for the top 16. I qualified 9th and got paired up against a super consistent driver. He qualified 8th so I went first, my run was total garbage and as I drove off track I thought it was over for me. to my surprise he spun and the judges called a ONE MORE TIME. I made my run and wasn't to happy but again to my surprise my opponents car popped an intercooler piping and i won by default and moved on to the great 8.

I was then paired up against FormulaD pro am driver Trapper Dave. Again I went first and straightened out coming out of the first sweeper. I wasn't to mad that I lost to such a good driver. All in all it was an awesome event and again I learned more then ever.

This was a great year and i couldn't have done it without Tintmasters Motorsports, My lovely fiancee Tanya, Our sons grandparents, and the rest of my crew for helping me with the car and borrowing me things to make it. BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!!!

Keep checking back for details on next years build, and the plans for the 2011 season.
